9th Annual

Run / Walk for Tara

Thursday, November 11, 2010

November 11, 2009 was the eighth annual race (race results - Ch. 22 video) held in memory of Tara Sheehan, who died in February 2002 after a long struggle with anorexia. Tara was a loving and caring young woman who helped many people during her short life. She was also an avid long-distance runner and a member of Williston Northampton School's 1991 New England champion cross-country team.

The Run/Walk for Tara benefits the Tara Fund, which provides grants to eating disorder education and treatment programs.  If you would like to contribute to this year's effort, please send a check to The Tara Fund, c/o John and Maureen Sheehan, 127 Pomeroy Meadow Rd., Southampton, MA 01073.
